Are you ready for an in-depth look at RocketLevel’s contact profiles—the feature at the heart of our lite CRM? Let’s get started!
Business Value: Learn how to manage your contacts.
Getting Started
We have created this guide to show you what you can do in your Contact Profiles.
If a written guide isn’t your preferred format, click here to view this information in a video guide.
In this guide, we will be covering a single contact. If you want to learn how to add contacts to the system one by one or import a list of contacts, please check out our related guides.
Viewing Contacts
In order to access your contact, you will need to go over to “Contacts” in the left-hand menu. Once you click the Contacts tab, it will expand to display a few different options.
You will then click on “All Contacts” to view all of your contacts in your RocketLevel account.
Note: Your account may have multiple contacts. For this guide, we are only displaying one single contact.
On this screen, you'll be able to see some high-level contact details including
- Their name, first name and last name, if they have one stored
- Their email address if they have one
- Their phone number if they have one
- When they were created and
- What the last action they performed was. In this case, Rad has opened an email.
Accessing a Contact Profile
To access a contact profile, click on the name to open the profile.
There are a few things on this contact’s profile that we will cover first, and then we are going to go into some of the additional panels you see and finally some of the actions that you can take for this contact.
Starting off on the profile, you're able to see some of the information that is stored for them. That includes as mentioned their first name, their last name, email, phone number, and a variety of other custom fields that you can fill in.
You will also notice the “Create At” information is stored towards the bottom, as well as “Notes” and “Tags.”
Editing a Contact / Adding a Tag
To edit a contact, you will click on the blue “Edit Lead” button.
Once on the next screen, you can fill/edit out any information on their profile.
If you wanted to add a tag, you would have to select from the tags available on the account.
If you want to learn about tags more in-depth, visit our Tags guide. Tags are helpful when it comes to Custom Lists and Marketing Journeys.
Viewing the Custom Lists a Contact Belongs To
The Custom List tab is going to show you what kind of custom lists this person is a part of. For example, if we ran a list of everybody in the state of Georgia, that list would appear here under Rad’s Custom List tab. Those are custom lists at this contact belongs to.
If you want to learn about custom lists more in-depth visit our Custom Lists guide.
Viewing a Contact's Form Submissions
Note: Form submission data automatically feeds into the contact profile
Under the Form Submissions tab, if this lead had submitted a form including their email address or their phone number, then that would also link up to their profile and you could see that they submitted a form.
Viewing a Contact's Active/Completed Marketing Journeys
Under the “Active Marketing Journeys,” you can see any marketing journey that they're currently a part of. Marketing Journeys are a series of emails and/or text messages that a lead is going to receive in sequence. So let's say it's a four email series. If this contact is part of an active marketing journey, then they will be receiving those four emails. If they're on email two it's going to be an active marketing trend.
Once they received all four, it will appear under completed marketing journeys.
Viewing a Contact's History
Under “History,” you'll be able to see the emails that have been sent to this lead, as well as what they've opened or if they've clicked anything in an email. You can see information such as which user sent out the email to this contact.
You can also see when the lead opened the email. You can also open the email when you click on the name of the email.
Accessing the Inbound/Outbound SMS Conversation With That Contact
Under text message logs, you can see any text message conversation that has happened with this contact. If you are engaged in a conversation, this is where you’d be sending messages from.
Sending an SMS to a Contact
Under the Text Message Logs tab, you can send a text message to the contact on this page.
Adding a Note
Under the Notes tab, you can see any of the lead notes that have been stored.
In order to add a note you can go to the additional drop-down next to the “Edit Lead” button and click “Add Note.”
You can see who left the note, when they left it, and what the note is. These notes cannot be deleted or modified.
