In this guide, you will learn how to manage your products in your eStore by being able to add products.
Adding a Product
If you’re ready to add a product you will first login to the back end of your website.
Once you’ve logged in look for the Products option on the left-hand side of the dashboard and click it.
Here on the top of the page you will see “Product” and next to it the Add New button, click on it to add a new product.
This will prompt a new page to open. Here you will fill out the information regarding the product. The following sections are the ones that need to be filled out in order to set up the product correctly.
Product Name
Add the name of what your product is, try to keep this simple, there are sections to add the detailed descriptions.
Detailed Description
If your product needs a detailed description you will fill out the detailed description on the box below Product Name. What you put on this section will be displayed on the product page below the product image. It is not necessary to fill this out but it is helpful if your product needs a more detailed description.

Product Short Description
This section is required to be filled out. In this section, you will add a less detailed description of the product, something short and quick to digest.
What you put on this section will be displayed on the product page next to the product image.
Product Data
In this section, you will need to fill out more information about your product on the General tab only.
First, you will make sure that your product is set up as a Simple Product, you will then make sure to check the box for Virtual.
You will then fill out the Regular Price and if you would like to add a Special Price fill that as well.
The price will display below the Product Name. If you have added a Sale Price, it will add a Sale banner on the image and will cross out the original price to show a sales price.
You will notice that the Tax Status and Tax Class have been preset. Please make sure that they stay that way:
- Tax Status - Taxable
- Tax Class - Standard
Product Image
Once you’re done with adding the product information you should now add a product image for the products page.
Look for the Product Image tab on the right-hand side and select Set Product Image.
This will open your Media Library - choose a picture in the library or upload an image by clicking on the Upload Files tab.
Once you’ve selected the image you want to use for your product click on it and you will then click the blue Set Product Image
Once you’ve set your product image and filled out the rest of the information for the product you should preview the product before publishing it. To preview the product you will go to the Publish tab on the right-hand side and click on the Preview button.
Once you’ve previewed the product and you’re okay with the information displayed then you can click on the Publish button.
